Once upon a time, Ardal O’Hanlon,
Kevin Gildea and Barry Murphy were known as Mr Trellis,
the sketch group who pioneered modern Irish comedy.
They started The Comedy Cellar in a small room above
The International Bar in Dublin back in Feburary 1988.
To mark their 20th anniversary,
Mr Trellis have reunited to do a bit of Messin’
in Kilkenny. Most comedians agree that without Mr
Trellis, Irish comedy would not enjoy its status on
the world stage today. This is a unique chance to
see how it all began…
